Alabama boaters permit?

How old do you have to be to get a boaters permit(not license)in Alabama?? and what website do i go to to take the test??

i took the boating test online from www.boaterexam.com and this was even before i got my drivers license. i passed on my first trial and they mailed me the certificate. at some point i had to go take my road test and so i took the certificate with me to the DMV. i showed them the certificate at the same time and passed my road test. they gave me a paper version of my drivers license that has a V(Vessel) simbol on it.they're gonna send me the actual license through mail. i'm from alabama. so it could be different in different states.
