The Toulouse coach is of the view that PSG are not unbeatable and has stressed that TFC are capable of beating PSG when the two sides clash on Friday in the Ligue 1
Paris Saint-Germain have emerged as a hegemonic power in the French division with the arrival of so many star players at Parc des Princes in the last couple of years. However, there are teams out there that believe that despite all the massive investment,
the Ile giants can be defeated.
PSG are set to face European hopefuls, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Toulouse-FC-c40751, in their next Ligue 1 game on the road and a strong encounter is expected between the two sides. TFC coach, Alain Casanova rates Paris Saint-Germain in high regards but is confident of getting a positive
result on against the cash-laden club from the capital.
While talking to reporters, the 51-year-old Frenchman stated that PSG have set new standards in Ligue 1 despite their lack of experience on the European level. The Ile giants are equivalent to the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona in
France and this thing is very beneficial for the football in the country.
"For me, this team is the calibre of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, Real Madrid or Manchester United, even if they have less experience," he said of PSG.
Casanova added that the budget of PSG is massive and other clubs in the league cannot compete with that.
"The value of any one of their players is equal to our budget. That makes you think. But it's a great opportunity for L1 and for us all. PSG are a driving force, and we need that."
However, the Toulouse boss feels that Paris Saint-Germain are doing a good thing for the football in Ligue 1 and other teams have raised their level as well.
"PSG are doing a lot for French football. You can like their policy or not, but they are pulling our game upwards and we needed that.”
Casanova added that apart from PSG, teams like Lyon, Marseille and Lille are also very tough and competitive and Ligue 1 is not just about Paris Saint-Germain.
“In http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899, there's Lyon, Marseille, Lille, those teams are also very competitive."
