Alamsyah Yunus sends Rizky Antasari packing in first round battle at Li Ning Jakarta Open 2013
Indonesia’s elite player Alamsyah Yunus got an easy start in Men’s Singles first round when he sent his team-mate Rizky Antasari packing in a lopsided manner at DJARUM SIRKUIT NASIONAL Li Ning Jakarta Open 2013 on Tuesday, May 14, in Indonesia.
The impressive Alamsyah, who is the top seeded Men’s Singles player in the championship, proved his superiority on court and easily overpowered his un-seeded compatriot in just 30 minutes.
The aggressive Alamsyah kept the pace of rallies high in the whole battle. He did not let his challenger to close the gap at any stage and finished up this contest in a tremendous way with a striking margin of 21-9 and 21-15.
On the other hand, the lower ranked Rizky failed to play positive badminton as he could not create gaps in his rival’s court. He played quivering shots and eventually lost the battle without taking any game.
The in-form Alamsyah showed an amazing aggression on court from the opening points of first set by building a huge pressure on his opponent.
Alamsyah was quite smooth in taking the bird early and he did not encounter any trouble in hitting his shots in targeted areas.
The underdog Rizky tried to play aggressively but he failed to find a good flow in the starting half of opening game.
Alamsyah did not show any sign of confusion as he was in complete control of rallies until the one-minute interval.

In the second game, Alamsyah played with stunning speed without sparing any opportunity for Rizky to find a good rhythm.
Alamsyah displayed his unmatched craft in the arena by picking the bird early from all areas and kept his domination over his challenger.
Rizky could not show resistance in the second game of this contest as his rival Alamsyah played flawless badminton and took the set with a convincing 21-15 total on the board.
