Consequently, the International Cricket Council (ICC) took away their Test status because of poor performances and their inability to compete with major teams. However, a sequence of impressive performances in limited-overs internationals
forced the world’s governing cricket body to give back the status last year.

The coach said, "This is a real sign that we are on the right track. It can sometimes get hard to convince people that things are going well when we don't get the results so this has been really good from that perspective."
He further added that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045 have not been playing a lot of international cricket recently but revealed that the boys have been working extremely hard in the nets and in the domestic scene during the off-season. The mentor is delighted
that the hard-work is paying-off and hopes that the side will carry on with the same momentum in future.
"It didn't matter that it was unofficial, we took it very seriously. We had training camps since the beginning of May and we worked very hard for this, so I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out. The guys worked well as a unit,"
Butcher added.
