The Newcastle United manager has finally given up on bringing back the Magpies golden boy, Andy Carroll from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 after the Tyneside club sold Carroll to Liverpool in January last year for a whopping 35 million pounds...
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-c4244 Pardew has come out and made it clear that Newcastle United do not expect to sign Andy Carroll on loan or on a permanent deal either from Liverpool in this summer’s transfer window. Carroll has been a source of speculation
at Liverpool ever since the transfer window opened after having a woeful first full season at Liverpool where he was injured or failed to live up to the fans expectations when he did take the field.
Carroll’s lack of form and other reasons meant that Liverpool finished seventh in the league table which prompted the owners of the club to dismiss Kenny Dalglish from his position as the club manager.
Pardew had made a move for Carroll as he wanted to sign the Englishman but on a temporary basis with an option to sign him permanently after a year on long at his former club but Liverpool did not entertain this proposal. West
Ham United were also interested in signing the English national team striker but Liverpool did not take a favourable outlook on selling their misfiring forward.
Now in the new league season, Carroll is trying hard to make an impact under Brendan Rodgers but he did not have much of an effect in his first appearance of the season against Manchester City. Pardew was asked if Newcastle United
were still expecting to sign Andy Carroll.
In reply to this, he remarked, “Not as far as I'm aware, no. We are just watching the market and seeing if anything pops its head up that's appealing to us. Agents keep ringing me and giving me all sorts of names - they must think
we don't scout - but we are aware of the ones we are watching and if they decide to move on, and then we might trigger ourselves.”
He added, "But at the moment, the targets we have are all very much secure at their clubs."
