The Newcastle manager will have talks with the French midfielder following his Euro 2012 fall-out. Ben Arfa was involved in a spat with French national team’s head coach Laurent Blanc which led to his exclusion from the squad in the quarter final.

Pardew has reserved his judgement on the matter and will discuss the whole incident with Ben Arfa upon his return from international holidays.
The French international is a technically gifted and versatile attacking midfielder, who can play on the wings or through the middle.
The young midfielder’s career has been tainted with incidents of poor conduct and discipline.
Ben Arfa has however flourished under Pardew and developed into a mature player. The Newcastle boss is hopeful that there will be no problems with Ben Arfa once he returns to the squad. their pre-season preparations and had this to say about the whole situation:
“I haven’t really studied what went on with France and I won’t get the real version until I speak to Hatem.”
“I will have a conversation with him because I want him to pick up where he left off for us, which was in a good place.”
"He doesn't come back until a lot later in pre-season because he and Yohan need some rest. Certainly I will have a conversation with him because I want him to pick up where he left off for us which was in a good place."
