Former Manchester United midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-c4244 Smith has sealed a permanent move to League One side Milton Keynes Dons on a two-year contract, following a loan spell which took him there from Newcastle United earlier this year in January.
The 30-year old midfielder-turned-striker was released by the Magpies earlier this year and went on a loan spell to League One side MK Dons.
Smith started off his career at Leeds United and came to prominence as both a striker and an attacking midfielder. Smith earned a reputation as an aggressive tackler and made a name forhimself for his high work rate and determination. He was likened to Roy Keane in many ways, and was seen as a future Manchester United great by many.

In 2007, Smith joined Newcastle United on a five-year contract. He featured for them regularly until injury and poor match fitness reared its ugly head again and halted his progress with the Magpies.
Smith joined League One outfit MK Dons in 2012 during the winter transfer window after being released by Newcastle. He has made 16 appearances and scored 2 goals for the club ever since his arrival.
It was reported earlier today that MK Dons have signed Smith on a permanent deal after his successful loan spell. The midfielder will be aiming for Championship promotion with his new club once the play-offs start.
