How do i buy a ticket from Fairbanks to Anchorage on the Alaska Railroad in the middle of winter? and are there many delays?

The Alaska Railroad runs daily passenger service between Anchorage and Fairbanks - they have several special glass viewing cars - you will love them.  Everyone should take this trip at least once - very pretty when it goes by Denali National Park.  Not many delays at all.  One stop at Denali Park and there are two other flag stops......... nothing you would notice much about.
