Alaskan Bullet to make successful stable debut in Wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk Selling Stakes
Alaskan Bullet has just joined Brian Ellison’s yard, after a respectable fourth in the claiming grade last time under the care of Michael Bell. The 3-year-old has got a fair idea of the conditions at Wolverhampton, and looks good to make a successful stable
debut in the Wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk Selling Stakes on Monday, November 5th.
Currently owned by M. Khan X2, the bay gelding is not facing an easy task. He is up against a few giants, including Powerful Wind, who had defeated him at York early in the season. Yet, he has a fine chance at the weights, and one can easily expect him to
come out on top.
Alaskan Bullet was quite impressive on his latest start. In the hands of Martin Lane, he completely failed to get off to a fine start. Not losing determination, he pulled hard, and stayed on to ensure the fourth place. It was an extremely close competition,
and the Pat Heffernan-bred surely deserves respect for his classy act.
Powerful Wind remains the biggest danger, despite the fact that he has not been performing well over the past few weeks. Since taking an easy win at York, the Ronald Harris-trained has made no impact whatsoever.
Owned by Anthony Cooke, the 3-year-old was awful on his last two trips here. After finishing seventh at the start of last month, the son of Titus Livius failed to improve, and could only grab the second last position last time.
Bred by Miss Ciara Doyle, the colt has done business in the past, and will be a dangerous fellow if running to his mark. But the bettors should not take a chance on him because of his current bad form.
Including the aforementioned pair, a dozen runners have entered the race. Over a distance of five furlongs and 20 yards, they will compete for a prize of £1,704. Those who are interested in staking money don’t have much time to make their moves, as the clash
is about to begin. According to the schedule, the class 6 meeting will be commenced at 14:50 GMT. We wish the best of luck to all the participants.
