Have you cruised the Alaskan Passage on Holland American Lines "Noordam" and if so, how was it? Any comments or suggestions on an Alaskan Cruise in September 2007. Thanks.

  1. 1. Nobody has sailed the Noordam in Alaska, at least not this Noordam.  the New Noordam that is currently in the Holland America Line fleet was introduced last Feburary and has yet to sail to Alaska until the 2007 season.

    2. Holland America Line is a great line to sail for Alaska.  They are the longest running line in the Alaska region.  Their staff are very knowledge and so are the port lecthers.  Most of the presenters have been to Alaska many years.

    Tips..

Try not to get a cabin on the very front of the ship.  Sailing to Alaska from Seattle can get very rocky.  The front is the worst.

Bring a jacket no matter what time of the year you go.  the wind chill while sailing in the Glacier areas are cool.
