England’s one-day skipper Alastair Cook has said that he feels that Test cricket is the ultimate form of the sport, while urging crickets governing body to preserve the longest and oldest form of cricket.
“Quite clearly I believe that Test cricket is the pinnacle. I still think most players believe that too. Twenty20 has done wonderful things – the numbers of kids playing has gone up, the number coming to watch game has gone up. So it’s been an important
thing for the game. But we need to manage things well to protect Test cricket,” said the English skipper.

He said, “If we play to our potential we’d expect to win this upcoming Test series. Any Test side is a good side and we need to be at our best to beat West Indies.”
