Alastair Cook praises his side for handling pressure at Oval – Cricket News Update
The One-Day captain of England, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AN-Cook-c1026, was happy with the way his side handled pressure and came out triumphant in the third One Day International of the five-match series at the Oval on Saturday.
The 26-year-old opening batsman from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/RS-Bopara-c2373 for keeping nerves in the tense situation.
"It was pleasing the way we handled the pressure towards the end,” said Cook while talking to the media reporters after three-wicket win.
“A lot of credit goes to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/RD-Shah-c2298 (Bopara) for the manner in which he played, backed up by Bresnan. I thought Ravi played very well in a great little partnership with Bressy,” he added further.
While chasing the adjusted 218-run target form 42 overs, the hosts were trembling at 133 for 5 when Bopara took the charge and shared a critical 60-run partnership with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/TT-Bresnan-c2711.
The England skipper reckoned that the absence of prolific middle-order batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Morgan-c77707.
Cook however, admitted that it was nerve-wracking to sit in the dressing room and watch the lower-order finishing the game.

Cook however, reckoned that his side could have done better had they been more attacking while Dhoni and Jadeja were building up the partnership.
The fourth ODI of the series will be played at Lord’s on Sunday, September 11.
