The Barcelona full-back was a part of the team that drew the game 1-1 against France and as the Blues equalized right at the end, Alba believes http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 were the side who were tired and they are to be blamed.
The Spanish national team recently faced http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 in the FIFA World Cup 2014’s qualifiers as the most recent international break kicked off.
The current European and World champions managed to beat France 2-0 during the Euros and they were yet again favourites to beat the FIFA World Cup winners of the year 1998.
However, despite dominating the game and leading for most of the game-time, Spain conceded a late equalizer which dented the number of points they have won in their particular group.
Jordi Alba spoke about the incident and stated that the Spanish national team has no one but themselves to blame as they were tired towards the end of the fixture.
The Spaniard stated that either they are fatigued or the French managed to better their performance.
However, the young Barcelona star was still in high spirits and stated that a draw has helped them put their head straight up again.
While speaking about the game against France, Jordi Alba said:
“We controlled the opening 45 minutes and even missed a penalty, but we had lots of counter-attacks and chances. During the second half we weakened physically and I also think we let too many easy passes go astray.”
“I don’t know if it was fatigue on our part but France became stronger and got their goal in the last minute. Nobody likes to concede in that way but we gave our all. Anyway, we’ve got to get our heads up now.”
It was http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-Ramos-c33096 who scored the goal for Spain in the 25th minute and the Spanish national team led because of that goal throughout the game.
However, right at the end of the second half, France were able to equalize as they were able to break Spain’s defence during a well-structured counterattack.
