Alben Star set to shine at Kempton – Conditions Stakes Preview
Alben Star is all set to shine resplendently at Kempton racecourse where he will compete for the ace title of New William Hill Iphone App Conditions Stakes on Saturday, March 31.
The Richard Fahey-trained bay gelding is expected to confidently beat his half a dozen rivals including Bravo Echo, Palace Moon, Primaeval, Rodrigo De Torres, Seek The Fair Land and Cochabamba.
The high-stakes Class 4 contest over 7f distance has £5,175 in purse. The action is scheduled to commence at 4:05 (GMT).
Alben Star has been winning with regular intervals since making his debut in June 2010. After winning the first two races of his career, the maverick young horse finished 6th in the third race on October 8, 2010.
The brilliant gelding took a long break and returned to action with the dawn of 2012. Being 4-1 favourite, he excellent clinched top spot in a tough competition on January 6.
The four-year-old talented horse moved forward to earn two runner-up ranks, and again grabbed first position in his last outing on March 10.
Thus, Alben Star possesses an outstanding track record. He has earned £27,799 as prize money so far.
If the hot favourite gelding manages to capitalise well on his capabilities, his chances to finish first in the race will be as high as 95 percent.
However, two of the other runners named as Palace Moon and Primaeval have potential to trigger huge upsets in the event.
Palace Moon bagged a couple of consecutive victories during the first two months of the calendar year. The William Knight-trained bay gelding has won 5 out of his total 23 starts to date.
On the other hand, Primaeval has been enjoying great form for last six months. After attaining a runner-up rank each in the months of September and October 2011, the trainee of James Fanshawe went on to clinch top spot in a race on November 16. He finished
second again in his last outing.
