Albert Pujols and hitting Coach Mickey Hatcher’s little conflict comes into public
The Los Angeles Angels star slugger Albert Pujols is not happy the way hitting Coach Mickey Hatcher has gave remarks which he gave earlier in a team meeting.
He is now going public and stating with tough words that Hatcher should have not stated, instead should have kept his opinion inside the closed doors.
"Mickey shouldn't have said that," Pujols said after the game. "No disrespect, but I'll talk to Mickey about that."
Later Hatcher said, "I don't want to talk about it, Albert doesn't want to talk about it, It was something you guys stirred up, and that's it. Everybody's laughing about it. It's ridiculous."
However, team manager Mike Scioscia has his own say on the recent conflict between Hatcher and Pujols, "There's nothing to resolve. Albert is fine. Mickey is fine."
Pujols, who is playing his first season with South Los Angeles baseball franchise, is going throw a very bleak stage of his career in which he has not even hit a single homer.
His arrival into the Angels is said to be one of the most celebrated events in the Major League history. He denied playing further for the St. Louis Cardinals after they did not give him the desired lengthy contract and decided to join the Angels.
The real controversy started when earlier, the head hitting Coach Mickey Hatcher attended a scheduled meeting of hitters where he gave some promising remarks to upgrade the ongoing dire situation of their batting lineup.
Hatcher had said in that particular meeting, "The positive things that are being said … this clubhouse is not separating, it's bonding more than ever, I tell them. The magic can start today.' I refuse to do it any other way.”
As soon as Hatcher gave these motivated comments, Pujols later added with little more words saying nothing for his poor game which has been receiving so much criticism since the start of the season; instead he tried to motivate the players with some inspirational
words.
Hatcher on the other hand, tried to realise Pujols that he must take care of his own game first which will automatically bring certain positives for the entire team as well.
