The Liverpool midfielder’s agent has revealed that the playmaker desires a future at the Rossoneri; believes that the Diavolo’s interest in the player will become clear in next 10 days.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-c4309 Aquilani has voiced his desire to prolong his stay at AC Milan through his representative, and believes that had it not been for the injury, his prospects of a stay at San Siro would have been brighter.
The midfielder joined the Rossoneri on loan from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 in August, last year. His loan agreement included a buy-out clause, which could only be activated if he played a certain number of games. However, the playmaker has failed
to meet the required figure of appearances at San Siro.
Aquilani’s agent insisted that the injury that his client picked up during the season, is the main cause that hindered him from making more than the required 25 appearances in the campaign. The Rossoneri midfielder’s representative
insisted that failing to reach the 25-game mark, has substantially diminished his client’s chances of attaining a long-term contract with the Diavolo.
While talking to Milan News, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Franco-c14050 Zavaglia said:
“If he hadn’t have picked up an injury then he would have certainly made the 25 appearances necessary. That would have resolved a lot of the problems.”
Aquilani’s spokesperson insisted that they are yet to approach AC Milan to discuss the midfielder’s situation, and believed that things will become clearer for the player in the next few days.
The Rossoneri playmaker’s agent insisted that staying at the Diavolo is the first priority for the Liverpool owned midfielder. However, he insisted that his client still has a two-year contract with the English outfit, and stated
that their consent in the matter is vital to the playmaker’s future.
“We still haven’t spoken to Milan and I think we will get a clearer understanding of the situation in about 10 days. Alberto wants to stay in Milan, but he has two years left on his Liverpool contract and we’ll need to see what
they think about it. Things went as they did, but there hasn’t been the final word yet.”
Aquilani scored just one goal in the 23 appearances for AC Milan, in the ongoing season.
