Liverpool’s loaned midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-c4309 Aquilani, is still stuck in Juventus FC waiting for his future to be decided by the Turin giants. There are many speculations regarding his stay at Turin as the Old Lady and The Reds continuously fail to reach a common
ground regarding his future.
However, the Italian International’s agent, Franco Zavaglia, remains optimistic that the deal between the two outfits will be finalized and Aquilani would continue his career in the Italian top flight. While recently talking to an Italian radio station,
Zavaglia revealed that the central midfielder is very likely to hold his position.
“There is a better than 50 per cent chance that he will stay,” Zavaglia noted. “In a few days the clubs will meet and will reach an agreement. Aquilani has had a good season. Negative judgements come from the fact that Juve have had a poor campaign, but
the player returned to the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 squad.”
Juventus have revealed the signing of the AC Milan’s legendary midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrea-Pirlo-c5702, and by the addition of the ex-Rossoneri, it is believed that Aquilani’s position might be sacrificed as the Lady Killers would not require his services anymore. Aquilani’s
agent, however, negated such assumptions and said that both stars can play side-by-side.
“They are compatible,” he added. “If Cesare Prandelli has called both up to the national set-up then they are. Juventus signed Pirlo before picking Antonio Conte, but the Coach could even change the system.”
Juve brought in Aquilani during the last summer transfer window and the Turin giants reserved the right to buy the player at the end of the season for an agreed sum of 16 million Euros. The Italian midfielder’s time at Anfield was troubled to say the least
and he was forced to look for options elsewhere.
The player’s contract at Stadio Olimpico Torino was set to expire on May 15, and the Old Lady failed to formulate a deal before the deadline. Juve wanted a concession on the price tag, while 10 million Euros were not enough to satisfy the English outfit
for the transfer; hence, the efforts failed.
