Released by AS Saint-Étienne in the summer after failing to agree on a contract extension, the Frenchman is a free agent and is looking for a new club to kick-start his career
The 28-year-old is available on a Bosman transfer following the termination of his contract by Saint-Etienne and is in search of new club. Ebondo spent two seasons with ASSE from 2010 to 2012 and managed to make 27 appearances for the club last season and provided couple of assists in the process.
Lack of playing time and failure of negotiation for a contract extension led to Ebondo’s exit from AS Saint-Étienne. Ebondo has vowed to learn from his experience and will sign for a club which truly wants his services, as he has refused to be a bit part player in the future.
Albin Ebondo has refused to blame his previous bosses for leaving him on the bench without proper discussions. The Frenchman feels that his services were not required anymore at Saint Étienne, so the departure was imminent.

The player believes that it was disappointing for him to be left out of the starting eleven in the later stages of the campaign but he gave his 100 percent whenever he was called upon.
“For me, I think that I had a good season. It is unfortunate that I got out of the team, despite having a good season, but that was coach’s decision so I had to accept that.”
The 28-year-old conceded that he has not received any concrete offer so far. The Frenchman reveals that he has not planned about his future yet and no particular club is in his sights. Ebondo will go to a club that would want his services and the former Toulouse man is even willing to play abroad.
