Alcohol on Cruise Ships?

Question

How much do alcoholic beverages average on cruise lines?

Mixed drinks, beer, wine, etc.

I'm sure they are overpriced, but I just wondered by how much.

not a big drinker but every cruise i get one for the glass but it seems to me a bit more than a regular bar . and they do get ya on the tip its added to bar tab. i don't think its right i do belive that a tip should be giving if you liked your service not forced but that's just me but have a great cruise .

On Carnival, bar drinks can run $4.00 to $12.00 each plus they add a 15% gratutiy to each drink.

$4 beer, $6 mixed,and $7-8 frozen also a daily special around $5. Your not supposed to bring you own but I always bring some with me in my luggage and never had a problem. HAVE FUN!!

About $3.50 to $5.50 depending upon whether its beer, wine, or mixed drink. Then they add a 15% gratuity to that.  You can save a couple dollars on mixed drinks that they advertize as the "sail away" special and/or the "drink of the day" if you just tell the bar tender to put your drink in a plain (non-souvenier) glass.

Also, if you want a better drink, sit at  a bar and get to know the bartenders and then just ask them to make the drinks stronger.  Most cruise lines drinks are normally very weak.

drinks can be very expensive......beers....like 3.50 on up.....plus tip that they include in bar tab....mixed drinks....4.50 plus tip....and frozen 5.00 on up....depending on liquor used....all taxes and tips are included in bar tab....be very careful when ordering....souvenir glassed drinks cost almost double...and they are too much trouble to carry home.....watch what u order....as you may have a whole new glass set by the end of week

Any where of 4.98 to 9.00 than u add a 15% tip.  My husband and I spent over 750.00 in just drinks for the week.  It was well worth it,  I'm more relaxed now.  Ready to GO again!
