Alcohol related question

I would like to ask whether this is 'normal' or it could be a concern. I used to drink socially

during early and middle 20's - often drinking vodka based drinks and in excess during weekends.

At that age, i feel i used to be more resistant to alcohol. Nowadays, after a few drinks wine/vodka I do feel

stomach discomfort (used to feel this feeling after x5 or more the intake). Probably did is a normal symtom as you

get older but who knows...

Cheers

  1. Not fair, is it?

You'd think that with all that drinking experience under your belt you'd get MORE resistant to it, not less.

  2. You're probably developing cirrhosis of the liver.

  3. It's age :-( I'm the same.

Doesn't stop me though, unfortunately booze really is good for all the wrong reasons.

  4. I think thats just what happens as you age... your body isnt as good at fighting whatever is thrown at it and eventually it just breaks down ya know?

Good Luck and Plz Be Careful!

Obviously Stomach Discomfort Isnt A Good Thing Lol :D

  5. Its normal.. Your liver has probably taken a battering and works harder..

  6. Your liver is in your middle stomach area, be very careful,

I know 2 alcoholic's one has damaged their liver, kidneys, and will be on medication for the rest of their lives, Aged 40,

The other is well on their way to becoming as bad, as well! Age 36!

It's not worth ruining your health, go to a doctor and ask for a check up.

  7. I used to go on 5 day benders and spring up at 7am ready to take on the world.  If I get even slightly intoxicated these days it's a battle to get me out of bed at a reasonable time the next morning.

Seems to be the way things start going down as we age.

  8. Age......change drink.
