Alcohol vs Marijuana, which is more harmful...??

Alcohol is also said by the doctors that little bit of like one or two pegs daily is good for the heart. And Marijuana if taken once in a while does not affects anything, even cigarettes are more harmful, but if marijuana taken daily & for for a very long period of time cud harm the memory. But it should be remembered that too much of anything is bad. Like, alco can make U alcoholic and marijuana can make someone addicted. God Bless Ya...Thanks.

Well, to start off, people can easily overdose on alcohol, and die, or simply be so drunk that they do something that causes them to die, whereas it is essentially impossible "overdose" on marijuana, and although people may do stupid things when they are stoned, it seems to be pretty rare that people die as a result of them (see this article: http://norml.org/index.cfm?Group_ID=7459 ).  Also, while long-term alcohol abuse has been shown to cause various disorders, nobody has ever proved that long-term marijuana use causes any side-effects.  In fact, a recent study attempting to prove that marijuana causes lung cancer, actually showed that marijuana does not cause lung cancer (see this article: http://www.webmd.com/smoking-cessation/n... ).  So, at least with the information available at the current time, it seems likely that alcohol is the more harmful of the two.

well i think that alcohol is more harmful u can overdose easier..  but marijuana isn harmful but effects your brain more...  i like marijuana better that alcahol...

Alcohol is more harmful!!!  You can get addicted to alcohol and they "say" you can't get addicted to marijuana.  If you start drinking and you do get addicted to it, if you ever want to stop drinking you go through DT's.  While you are going through them you have a chance of dying and if you don't die it will make you feel like you are dying.  If you drink alcohol long enough it can cause Hepatitis C, that can also lead to death.  so if you are going to do anything I would with the smoke.  You can believe everything I said because my mom almost die over going through DT's and we got her to the hospital just in time.  Now she is dying because of liver problems, and it all started with drinking for fun.

Marijuana isn't harmful! It has never killed a single person in history while alcohol kills thousands of people.. you can not even seriously put them in the same category.

weed isnt harmful its a plant. Alchohal kills people who use it and those who dont. No one has EVER overdosed on weed. Noone has EVER needed a liver transplant from weed. There are no weed rehabs. It isnt addictive alchohal is.

Marijuana messes with you mind and from the tabacco used to smoke it, it can also cause lung and thoat illnesses.

Alcohol comsumed in large or regular ammounts through out your life can cause liver problems.

I would say if you did a experiment where 2 people comsumed the same amount of alcohol verses weed, the weed smoker would have the most harmful side affects.
