im 19 and in college..i've been drinking for about a year, but i've been drinking heavily for maybe the past 5 months..about 2 1/2 weeks ago i quit cold turkey..then 5 nights ago i decided to have 2 beers..since then i've been scared that im going to have withdrawal symptoms..i've had some anxiety, but i think it might just be caused from me worrying so much that i have withdrawal..im scared that i will have the hallucinations or whatever..which i heard can kill you..is it possible that i could have withdrawal or not?..it's not like i was a heavy drinker for years or anything..i guess im just worried and i don't know what to think

  1. No withdrawl from 2 beers. Your anxiety may come from the feelings you are having because you quit. Why were you drinking so much? Explore these things and you may find the answers to your anxiety.

  2. Please seek out medical advice from a family doctor/general practitioner and talk to them about a medication called Librium.  This is the best medication for withdrawing from heavy alcohol consumption.  I take Librium myself because I have issues with anxiety.

It is the safest of all drugs in the benzodiazipine class.  It is also the oldest of it's class.  The generic name for Librium is Chlordiazepoxide.  It is cheaper and just as effective as it's brand counterpart.

  3. You already quit once at 2.5 weeks ago, why would you suddenly have withdrawals?  And no, hallucinations can't kill you.
