Alec Stewart hails Stuart Broad – Cricket News Update
England’s legendary wicketkeeper batsman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Alec-James-Stewart-c43081 on Friday predicted a thriving future for the prolific pace bowler Stuart Broad.
The 26-year-old fast bowler from Nottingham will reach a landmark of 50 Test caps, if he plays in all the three matches of the ongoing Test series against South Africa.
"Reaching 50 caps will be a big thing for Broady," said Stewart while speaking to media reporters on Friday. "It's a nice landmark for him to reach and he will have the honour of wearing a shirt with 50 under the England badge,” he added
further.

has played 93 ODIs and 47 Tests, claiming 148 and 161 wickets in each format respectively.
Stewart, believes the lanky seamer will wind up his international career among England’s most capped Test cricketers of all times.
"He's still a young lad and he's a strong lad too. If he stays fit and healthy and keeps the desire he has now then...who's to say he won't get 150 Test caps,” said the former wicketkeeper batsman.
Currently the record of being most capped English cricketer is held by Stewart himself, with 133 Test appearances for the Poms during a Test career spanning 13 years, between 1990 and 2003.
Stewart does not think his record of 133 Test caps is unattainable, and tipped likes of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AN-Cook-c1026 and Stuart Broad as the leading contenders to reach the landmark.
""My record will go. Whether it is Alastair Cook or Stuart...They might not play until they are 40 like I did, but I'm sure they will do for a long, long time."
Besides being England’s pace bowling spearhead, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nottinghamshire-c826 cricketer is also a handy lower order Test batsman, with one century and nine half centuries under his belt. Stewart backed the gangling cricketer to become a mature batsman
with time.
