Aleix Espargaro anticipates a good weekend at the Aragon circuit – MotoGP news
Aleix Espargaro of Power Electronics Aspar expects to make it to the finish line of the Aragon circuit impressively.
He wants to edge his teammate at the Spanish circuit and told that they will be entering the circuit with same bike settings.
The Spaniard told that he likes the Motorland circuit because of its layout. He further told that the circuit is memorable due to his Moto2 race and he wants to finish the race without any unfortunate incident particularly after his incident at the Misano.
Espargaro said, “Motorland is a track I really like, especially with all the elevation changes. I have good memories of the year I raced there in Moto2 and after slipping up at Misano we need another good weekend now to get the better of Randy any way we
can.”
Furthermore, he told that he is enjoying the battle with his teammate but now he has to perform convincingly in the remainder of the season. He added that he likes the Corkscrew of the Aragon circuit. The variations in the Spanish circuit make it a complete
circuit as it contains many challenging areas where a rider would have to be careful.
“It has been an interesting battle between us all year and now we have to push hard in the final sprint. Motorland has a lot of blind corners and I especially like the 'Corkscrew' in sector two. It is a very complete circuit and you need to ride it well,”
he added.
The Power Electronics Aspar rider told that they will not be making any changes to their bike setup and will face his teammate with the same settings.
Espargaro retired in the Italian GP due to his engine failure. In the beginning of the race he faced some problems attaining the pace but with the passage of laps he was able to attain his desired pace. He was comfortable with his ride when he noticed a
problem with the engine of his bike and had to retire eventually. He believes that he would have easily edged his opponent if he had a clean race at the Italian circuit.
Let’s see how the Spanish rider performs in the upcoming race at his home circuit.
