Aleix Espargaro tops Claiming Rule Teams at the Aragon circuit – MotoGP news
Aleix Espargaro of Power Electronics Aspar topped the Claiming Rule Teams (CRT) at the Spanish Grand Prix held at the Aragon circuit.
He managed to finish the race at the 10th position. He anticipates winning the championship title of the current 2012 season.
He expressed his joy after finishing the Spanish GP ahead of all CRTs. He anticipates remaining consistent in the remaining of the season and later winning the CRT title. Besides, he believes that winning the CRT is his main motive and the joy after winning
the title would be five times more than his joy of winning the Spanish GP.
Espargaro said, “I am very happy. We have to continue to be just as focused, because shortly we will have three races in a row to contend with. I hope that in Valencia, when the season finishes, that we can be five times as happy because of winning the CRT
title.”
He added that beating his teammate was not easy and he had to work very hard to attain this position among the CRTs. The Spanish rider put all his effort to attain this position and believes that it was the toughest race of the season. The Power Electronics
Aspar rider said that he likes fighting a teammate like Randy di Puniet and the enthusiasm in his team.
His teammate Puniet told that he made a mistake on the circuit which resulted in losing him to Espargaro. He believes that it is like a shame to him because initially he was leading the CRTs and was trying to overtake Jonathan Rea.
He told that while he was trying to overtake Jonathan Rea of Repsol Honda, substituting for the injured Casey Stoner, he lost control of his bike and he was about to crash at turn 13. This was the time when he lost initial advantage. He added that he is
happy because it was an interesting race at the Aragon circuit. He finished the Spanish GP at the 11th position.
Let’s see how the Power Electronics Aspar riders perform at the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix scheduled on October 14, 2012.
