Aleksandar Luković urges Zenit St. Petersburg to focus on Spartak Moscow tie: Russian Premier League
Zenit St. Petersburg are to test their skills against Spartak Moscow in the upcoming Russian Premier League encounter at Luzhniki stadium. Zenit stopper Aleksandar Luković has revealed that the Meshki need to be at their top form when they play the Moscow-based
club away from home.
After winning 3-1 against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League, the Bomzhi defender warned his teammates against the Myaso and urged them to stretch their good run in the league.
Lukovic highlighted that Spartak Moscow have certain advantages over Zenit at the moment. He said that the Svinyi are not playing in the Champions League which is going to help them because Zenit are a little tired at the moment.
The Russian Super Cup winner highlighted that Spartak are going to have the home advantage, and Zenit might find it difficult to conquer the Moscow-based club.
Zenit are leading the league table at the moment but the promising defender is of the view that the Bomzhi are not uncatchable because CSKA Moscow and Dynamo Moscow are still in the title hunt.
“Unlike us, Spartacus have not played in European competition this week, and therefore they will be having fresh legs. If you look at the table, the Muscovites are seven points behind us and still fighting for the championship. CSKA and Dynamo are the same
case.” Lukovic in his pre-match press conference said.
“I believe that the derbies are always important and special. The main thing is the outcome, so we need to keep a cool head and I hope we win.” The 28-year-old added.
