Aleksandr Alfyorov satisfied with FC Yenisey Krasnoyarsk's league position - Russian First Division news
Yenisey Krasnoyarsk head coach, Aleksandr Alfyorov, has revealed that he is satisfied with his team’s performances, admitting that they were lucky enough to claim a decent spot on the league table despite their poor start to the second round.
After a flying start to the season where the Yenisey managed to claim a fourth spot on the Russian First Division table, the Russian outfit
failed to live upto the fans expectations during the second round.
Yenisey started the Russian Championship campaign on a high, notching 12 points from eight league encounters but failed to stretch their good run during the later part of the second round.
Alfyorov revealed that their critics did not expect the Russian outfit to claim a top spot on the league table.
“After the victory over Nizhny Novgorod (2:0), we had a difficult trip to the Far East, where we lost against SKA-Energiya Khabarovsk before drawing against Luch-Energiya Vladivostok. The matches against our direct competitors
Shinnik and Bryansk were tough but despite back-to-back defeats, we played there with dignity.” The former FC Metallurg Krasnoyarsk manager was quoted as saying.
Speaking on the match against Dynamo Bryansk, the Russian national admitted that they were unfortunate to suffer a defeat against the Dinamiki. He praised the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952, revealing that Dynamo deserved a mid-table finish.
Yenisey played five matches in fourteen days during the second round of the Russian Championship. The former Shenyang Liuyao player revealed that they had a tight schedule of league games.
Alfyorov lamented refereeing decision during the later part of the season, highlighting that Yenisey were not awarded certain penalties at difficult situations where they could have altered the match results.
Ildar Shabayev was handed a second yellow card during the match against Alania Vladikavkaz. The Russian national went on to bemoan his sending off, urging the Russian Football Union to carefully monitor the decisions made by the
match officials.
However, Alfyorov expressed his satisfaction after claiming the tenth spot on the league table.
“Upon seeing the state of the team we can conclude this as a good result, which will allow us to calmly prepare for the spring stage of the championship.” Alfyorov concluded.
