Aleksandr Belenov dedicates Kuban Krasnodar’s win against Anzhi Makhachkala to the fans
Kuban Krasnodar won 1-0 against the big spenders, Anzhi Makhachkala, in the latest Russian Premier League encounter. The Kazaki shot-stopper, Aleksandr Belenov, has admitted that it was a difficult task to stop the opponents from repeated attacks and dedicate
the win to the Krasnodar fans.
Gheorghe Bucur put Krasnodar ahead on fifteenth minute mark after scoring a well taken goal. The visitors failed to register an equalizer away from home.
Belenov has highlighted that Kuban had the home support which led to a decent performance. The gloves-man revealed that he started to get nervous late in the second period of the match, when the travelling team were pushing hard for an equalizer.
The former Spartak Moscow goalkeeper confirmed that the Lifters head coach, Dan Petrescu, had already warned him about the potential threat posed by the Wild-Division. “I had some nervous moments in the end. I was looking for the final whistle and it seemed that the time has stopped. Fortunately, everything ended well. Anzhi were playing offensively so it was therefore important to stay focused. Petrescu had warned us

The Cossacks shot-stopper heaped praise on their head coach and paid tribute to the Romanian national’s tactics. Belenov highlighted that the former Bradford City player has added confidence to the entire team and a sense of optimism has been created in
the dressing room.
The promising gloves man admitted that it was really difficult to handle Anzhi attacks and believes that this performance is going to add a lot of confidence. Kazaki managed to claim six points from their last two games.
Belenov heaped praise on Kuban’s strong defence and hoped for a similar display from them in the remaining matches of the season. The Russian national highlighted that the performance of the Yellow-Greens defenders, Anton Rogochiy and Sergei Bendz.

After this win against the league’s heavy spenders, Kuban Krasnodar have climbed up the table and are now at sixth spot on the league table.
