back to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Russia-c2991.
The former Dynamo Moscow player, Aleksandr Bubnov, has urged the veteran Russian winger to grab the opportunity with both hands and revealed that the Russian Cup winner could reclaim his Russian national team place after rejoining
the St. Petersburg club.
“Zenit are the only suitable club for Arshavin. He is capable to play in Euro 2012 and now he needs to prove himself by signing for the Russian outfit. The St. Petersburg’s fans would love to see their beloved Arshavin back in
the team.” Advocaat was quoted as saying.
Arshavin, who joined the Gunners back in 2009 in a whopping 16.9 million pounds deal, has failed to live upto the expectation since his big move. He has failed to impress even after the departures of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 and Cesc Fabregas.
He had himself reiterated his desire to leave the Emirates stadium after falling out with Arsene Wenger, last year.
“It's true that Wenger has a unique philosophy and he is a strict manager.
“I still want to play for 90 minutes, but now I am glued to the bench. I wouldn't like to play for a Russian club other than Zenit [St Petersburg], and there were no contacts with Anzhi Makhachkala.” The UEFA Cup winner said.
Though Zenit have plenty of players that could operate in the midfield region, the Bomzhi fans would love to see their captain back after an unsuccessful spell with the North London Club.
Zenit have had a good UEFA Champions League campaign this season, having reached the round-of-16 after claiming the second spot on the group stage table.
Bubnov went on to add that the 30-year-old should make a move to the St. Petersburg, as he would have a terrific chance to play in the continental tournament in the coming seasons.
