The Bianconeri legend has reiterated that he will continue to play after he leaves Turin at the end of the season.
Juventus Captain and striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Del-Piero-c4726, has repeatedly confirmed that he will continue to play football professionally after his contract with the Turin giants expires at the end of the season. The former Italian international is one of the greatest
Bianconeri players of all time and he holds numerous club records.
The striker was recently talking to Sky Sport Italia where he revealed his plans for the future. The 37-year-old was confident of ending his career at Juve, but the club President, Andrea Agnelli, had earlier claimed that this will be Del Piero's last season
with Juve.
While the president's comments lead to the rumour mill going into an overdrive, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 himself has yet to hint at a possible destination.
“I won’t stop playing. There is just Juventus in my future for now. All that I am thinking about is this Serie A season and the Bianconeri. The hope is that we’ll be able to do well in 2012 all of the things that we did well in 2011,” said Del Piero.
The former Italian international was signed from Padova in 1993 and he has made 500 appearances for the club while also scoring 205 goals in his career so far. Del Piero currently holds the record for most appearances as a Juventino and he is also the outfit's
all-time highest scorer.
However, the striker has not been at his best this season, having failed to hit the back of the net in the 12 league games he has played so far. Owing to his inconsistent form, the Bianconeri head coach, Antonio Conte, has not made Del Piero his primary
choice.
It is expected that Del Piero would be moving out to the Major League Soccer by the end of the season to gain more experience before he returns to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 and joins Juve again as a director.
