The Juventus legendary striker has given affirmations that he had been misquoted, and later went on to clarify what he had wanted the blurb to state on his
book.
The future of Del Piero at the Bianconeri is rife with speculation, after the club issued a statement in October remarking that Del Piero would be leaving the club after
his contract expires in June. He has been linked with a move to Major League Soccer (MLS), to clubs in the Middle East and in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/China-c8926.
However, many former players and pundits have pleaded the two parties to re-consider their decision and continue with their lengthy relationship. Del Piero has remained
coy on his future, and has been stated to be keen on staying with the Turin giants. However, the Juve club and directors have not given any hopes of extending the players contract.
The Italian Amazon site put Del Piero’s autobiography for pre-order with a blurb mentioning that this would be his final season in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926. The synopsis stated that after
an excellent campaign extending to 20 years, the Juve number 10 would be heading for newer hunting grounds.
This created uproar in his legion of fans, who were irked by this news, and keeping in mind their sentiments, Del Piero’s official website clarified the situation. They
stated that they had sent a different note to all the other booksellers. His representatives published the synopsis they had sent, and it read:
“20 years after his debut in professional football, having won (and lived through) everything with the Juventus shirt and Italian Nazionale jersey, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Del-Piero-c4726
is going through a turning point in his career. He still wants to live life to the full in his final years as a player, but also has the experience to commit a first outline to the pages of a fresh, agile and intense book.”
The last statement mentioned that the striker wanted to share his experiences with the world, and further stated:
“This is how Del Piero has decided to share what he learned from the world’s most beautiful game, including what guided him through these years: the values he intends to
transmit, maybe to those who today dream of wearing that Number 10 jersey.”
Despite his dismissal of such reports suggest that his romance with the Old Lady would be coming to an end.
