<p style="text-align:justify"><strong>The legendary Juventus striker has remarked that he knew that his time at the club was coming to an end; however, he stated that he had no regrets over the decision.
</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:justify">The World-Cup winning Italian forward has been looking for a new destination, with several options at his disposal. He has taken his time and is biding his time before making a move.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">The former Azzurri international was talking to CNN and gave a very candid account of his departure from the club and discussed the various options at hand. Many were stunned by the decision of the Turin outfit not to extend Del
Piero’s contract, and several former players and coaches went on to recommend the club to continue their relationship with him.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">However, the forward has stated that he was not expecting any contract extension and did not question the rationale behind it. He went on to state that he had led a very successful career with the Bianconeri. Moreover, he remarked
that he always gave his 100 per cent to the Juve cause throughout his career.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">He was quoted to have said:</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">&quot;I would lie if I said I expected Juventus to renew my contract. I never wondered why they did not extend it. I gave everything to the club, the fans and the team. I am extremely happy with my journey there. “</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">The former Padova striker went on to state that he was content to continue his career elsewhere, and that he was looking for a move away from Italy. He pinpointed the United States as a possible destination, commenting that he
is willing to start a new page of his career after spending 19 years with the Bianconeri.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">The striker also stated that he had not found a deal to which he could commit as yet. He went on to state:</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">&quot;The United States is an option, it is a fantastic country. I would love to be there and have a lot of fun, but I still have not found a deal with anyone.&quot;</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">Del Piero went on to win six Scudetti with the Serie A giants, and has stuck with the club through their rise and fall.</p>
