The Azzurri national attacking midfielder has stated his eagerness at proving his worth once again for the Rossoblu; lauded Stefano Pioli’s role at the club.
Diamanti was a surprise inclusion for many at the European Championship; and his inclusion put doubts over Cesare Prandelli’s selections for the tournament. However, the former West Ham United player proved to be a key player in

He scored the winning penalty for the Azzurri in the penalty shootout against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 in the knockout stages of the tournament. Diamanti went on to state that the experience of playing at that level was second to none, and the
player went on to comment that he was motivated by the faith his team and the national team coach had in his abilities.
Having experienced a key and an important role in the Italian national setup, the creative midfielder is happy to work his hardest for his domestic club to make a more prominent role in La Nazionale.
The former Livorno midfielder was talking to assembled press and in his interview he was quoted to have said:
“Professionally it was an unforgettable six weeks. I am pleased that I was appreciated by the Coach and my teammates, but now the objective is to continue the work at Bologna and confirm my place in the Azzurri side.”
He went on to state that he was fully committed to the cause of the Felsinei and is looking to put in another promising season for the club. He went on to state his appreciation for the manager they have at the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Renato-c30823 Dall’Ara,
and considered him as one of the best coaches in the Lega. Furthermore, he remarked:
“We are fortunate enough to have one of the best Coaches in Italy in the form of Stefano Pioli. With him in charge, we can be confident, even if it’s a young squad and there’s a lot of work to do. I am happy at the extra responsibility,
as I always enjoyed that positive pressure.”
Bologna bought all of the rights of Diamanti from Brescia in a blind auction this summer.
