The Rossoneri defender has confirmed that he will leave the Diavolo despite being offered a contract, and suggests MLS could be his next destination.

with the former Italian Champions.

would rather sit home, than stay where he is not wanted.
The centre-back stated that he is happy to bid farewell to the Milan outfit, while he is in a good physical shape. Nesta insisted that he has pocketed several laurels, and earned much fame at the club. However, he stated that his
snub for the Rossoneri offer is out of respect, and he feels the time has come for him to move on.
While talking to the press, the 36-year-old said:
“This has been my last season with Milan. I’m leaving. We’re playing at high levels and if I no longer feel important then I’d prefer to stay at home. I took this decision when I was feeling in good shape. I’ve won a lot but out
of respect for the club and myself, I would like to go and try a different experience where I will be able to do something good.”
Rumours are linking the 2006 World Cup winner with a move to MLS giants, New York Red Bulls.
