A.C Milan defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Nesta-c4735, insists that he can continue playing football despite turning 36 in March.
Nesta believes that he can still play for one more year despite claims that he is no longer the player he was a year ago. The veteran defender has been surrounded by a host of injury concerns throughout the season, and has been
confined to only 14 appearances in the ongoing campaign.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 star is confident of winning a major trophy with A.C Milan in the ongoing season. He believes that Milan are favourites to defend the Scudetto, and are also strong contenders to win the UEFA Champions League.
The 35-year-old heaped special praise on Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and believes that the Swede is exactly the kind of player his team needs to have to win trophies.
While talking to the reporters, Nesta said, “I have no intention of quitting just yet. I don’t have that desire. I’m convinced that Milan will win something important again this season. We are the favourites to win the Scudetto

Nesta joined A.C Milan from Lazio in 2002, and has gone onto make 314 appearances for the Italian Champions in his almost 10-year stay at the San Siro. The centre-back formed a formidable partnership with Paolo Maldini for a long
time, and the duo dominated the game for many years. He has won 10 major trophies with Milan including two UEFA Champions League triumphs and couple of Scudetto crowns.
The veteran star was also a pivotal figure behind Italy’s 2006 FIFA World Cup triumph. Milan currently atop the league standings before the winter break, and have also qualified for the last 16 round of the UEFA Champions League.
The Italian Champions will play Atalanta in their next game.
