Alessio Di Mauro beats Diego Sebastian Schwartzman in first round – Uruguay Open 2011 CH
Uruguay Open 2011 entered into the first round of its men’s competition on November 14, 2011 when Alessio Di Mauro (Italy) played against Diego Sebastian Schwartzman (Argentina). The Italian won the match in straight sets, 6-4,
6-3.
Mauro was in the lead from the start of the match as he scored three aces but his aggressive pace did made him concede four double faults. Schwartzman could not score any ace nor did he concede any double fault.  Mauro, the 214th ranked
player, was using his immense experience, which kept him ahead of Schwartzman throughout the match.
The Italian has a much better ATP circuit career as he possesses a win/loss ratio of 257/207, contained his opponent in winning games.
Ranked at world number 408th spot, Schwartzman, has won only two matches in the ATP division and lost twelve, was not able to keep up with the pace with which Mauro was playing.
As the first set progressed, Mauro scored two aces but did concede double faults twice into set. Schwartzman did not deliver any ace and kept his scorecard clean by not conceding any double fault. Mauro had a 59% first serve winning
ratio while his opponent could only maintain 40% rate.
Schwartzman was playing his service games well, as he won 70% points from his first serve and 40% points from his second. On the other hand, Mauro won 57% from his first serve and 48% from his second.
The Italian saved six out of the eight breakpoint chances that he got, on the other hand, Schwartzman could win only one out of the four breakpoints he faced.
19-year old Schwartzman was in the hunt to win the first set but he was unable to narrow down the lead that the Italian had created. Mauro won the first set 6-4.   
With the second set in progress, Mauro scored an ace while Schwartzman could not deliver any. The Italian conceded double faults twice into the set but Schwartzman played with a watchful eye and did not concede any double fault.
Mauro was again having a higher rate with his serves as he won 59% points from his first serve and 47% points from his second. Schwartzman won 36% points from his first serve and 33% from his second. Mauro was better able to defend
his serves as he could save eight of the ten breakpoints he faced. Schwartzman could only manage to save one break point from the four he faced.
Schwartzman was again unable to create any chance to secure any lead. The Italian proved his dominance in the second set as he won it 6-3 and sailed into the next round of the 2011 Uruguay Open.
