Manchester United manager, Alex Ferguson has gone on to reluctantly admit that Manchester City can rival the Red Devils and could win the Premier League this season.
Alex Ferguson and his Red Devils are set to take on United in the FA Cup once again this coming weekend. However, both the teams will be going into the game with images of last season, when United lost out to City in the semi finals of the tournament.
At the same time, City have already managed to beat United by six goals to one earlier this season and will be looking to try and repeat the same level of performance when the two face off this weekend.
City are also on top of the Premier league table, with three points separating them and United, who sit in the second spot at the moment.
Ferguson, who has blasted City a number of times in the past, has finally admitted that the team is looking better than it ever has and that they are more than likely to give his side a very tough fight in their upcoming game.
When talking about his local rivals, the Manchester United manager is quoted to have said: "The way we and our supporters should look at it is that we may as well get used to it, because they are not going to go away"
"We played them in a semi-final last year and the year before, we're both in the Europa League this year and now we are facing them in the FA Cup.
"So we have to get used to the fact that City are going to be challenging for competitions along with us.”
However, instead of crumbling under the pressure, the manager has insisted that the game will be hard for both the teams involved, since neither one is going to lay down and let other walk over them.
"It's a hard FA Cup draw for us, but it will be hard for them too."
With both the teams going into the game to prove a point, it is going to be an interesting wait to see just how both the Manchester based teams perform.
