Alex Ferguson confirms that Manchester United will not rush Javier Hernandez back
Manchester Untied manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson has gone on to confirm that the Red Devils are going to give Mexican international, Javier Hernandez ample time to recover from his concussion and won’t be rushing him back to action.
Hernandez was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday night, following a knock to the head, during a training session. The player was revealed to have suffered a minor concussion, which caused him to sit out the game against the MLS All Stars.
Ferguson feels that it is good that the player is recovering prior to the start of the season and that it would be foolish to rush him back to action, before letting him recover properly.
When talking about the twenty three year old forward, Ferguson is quoted to have said:
"He was hit on the top of the head with the ball in the early evening. When he was back at the hotel taking his meal he was sick"
"He had headaches, so we removed him to the hospital where he stayed in overnight. They did the MRI scans, released him yesterday and he travelled down today.”
He then went on to mention that concussions could not be joked around with, as they could cause serious damage to a player.
Ferguson added: "Concussion is something you don't want to happen but usually time heals it and we'll give Javier plenty of that.”
The manager ultimately ended by stating that the player would not be put back into the team till the doctors said it was okay to do so.
"We won't be rushing him back. I'll only bring him back when the doctor tells me I can."
It is a shame to see a player like Hernandez suffer such a dramatic setback, just when he was looking to go all out and better his performances and himself.
The striker had been in highly impressive form for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mexico-c2956 and was looking to return to United and continue his hot streak. However, with him now picking up a concussion, his progress has taken a giant leap backwards.
The forward is not going to spend some time regaining his fitness and from. Nonetheless, this injury to Hernandez is going to give opportunities to the younger players at the club, to try and prove themselves to the manager and at the same time, Dimitar Berbatov might finally be able to win the manager over again and reclaim his spot in the team’s starting eleven.
There is no guarantee to Hernandez being dropped to the bench following his injury, but there is a strong possibility to that happening.
