Alex Ferguson does not plan on adding to the Manchester United roster
Manchester United manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson has gone on to state that he doesn’t wish to sign any new players, this transfer window.
The manager has so far gone on to land http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 and Ashley Young from Aston Villa. However, despite that fact, it was strongly believed that the manager was going to go ahead and make moves for one
or two central midfielders. Considering the team lost http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Scholes-c29394, it seemed like one of the most obvious things for the manager to do, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.
The manager, when talking about the transfers that have been made so far and the arrival of new talent, is quoted to have said:"We lost five players in their 30s this summer"
"That helped finance the three younger players - Ashley Young, Phil Jones and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 de Gea - I have brought to the club.”
He then went on state that he doesn’t plan of adding to the squad, mainly because of the fact that what he is looking for, just isn’t available in the market.
He added: "At this moment, I can't see another addition. The type of player we might have been looking for is not available.
"I am happy with the players I have got at this moment in time."
The manager seems to be referring to the status of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-Sneijder-c36799. Both the midfielders were strongly linked with moves to Old Trafford, however, based on recent developments, it seems like neither
of the two will be making a move to the club.
Nonetheless, Ferguson is most probably trying to lay-low at the moment. The manager has often tried to ward of media attention and it appears as though the manager is trying to do the exact same thing this time around.
At the moment United are set to take on Manchester City in the Community Shield game. Alex Ferguson seems to already feel like the game is going to be an interesting one, considering it is against the teams local rivals.
When talking about the game, Ferguson is quoted to have said: "It is not a normal Community Shield for Manchester United”
"It is addressing our noisy neighbours again. It will be an interesting match."
Should Ferguson actually land a midfielder, he might just make his debut in this community shield game, otherwise, there might actually not be any new additions to the team at all.
