Manchester United's manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson has admitted that he wasn't surprised to see Andre Villas-Boas get sacked by Chelsea, based on the way the manager had been treated at the club.
Ferguson, who has been incharge at Old Trafford for over twenty five years, has gone on to admit that the way managers are treated these days, it was only a matter of time before Villas-Boas was shown the door at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786.
The Blues manager barely managed Chelsea for a little over a hundred days before being shown the door, due to the poor results that he had produced with the team.
In his absence, Di Matteo will not take over and try and guide the team over the remainder of the season.
However, Ferguson believes that Villas-Boas will be back sooner, rather than later, as the
e manager has the potential of going on and becoming one of the best in the business at what he does.
The Red Devils boss, when talking about the departure of the Chelsea boss is quoted to have said: "The news is not surprising to me really.
“There was all the build-up in the media and obviously the results haven’t been kind to him. But it is disappointing because he is a young manager.
“When you are young you need time and obviously in this industry you don’t get a lot of time unfortunately - so it is sad in a way.
“I hope he does well because he has got the potential. His work at Porto can’t be ignored and I hope he comes back into the game soon."
Chelsea are currently sitting in the fifth spot in the league and are set to take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 in the Champions League, following a three goals to one defeat earlier this year, in their first leg.
Now with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Di Matteo set to try and use his tactics on the side, it is uncertain as to what is going to happen with the team, or just how they will perform over the remainder of the season.
