When talking about Van Der Sar, Ferguson is quoted to have said: "He had a great career because of his character”
"His level of performance for such a long time is amazing. He is a great human. I was just saying to Van Gaal that Van der Sar always had good words during the half-time. When Schmeichel left I should have taken him right away. But that was my fault. I'm
happy we did after all."
The manager then went on to state that despite the keeper hanging up his gloves, there was still room for him at the club and he would love to see him get involved with United in the future.
Ferguson then ended by stating: "I think there is a future for him at Man United”
"He will be an ambassador for the club anyway. Now he will take a year off. After that he will make his decision."
Based on the managers latest set of comments, we can conclude that both Sneijder and Van Der Sar are going to be heading to Old Trafford to the near future.
