Alex Ferguson set to face striker dilemma at Manchester United
Manchester United manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson has gone on to admit that this coming season might be a little hard on him. The manager feels that given the quality of the strikers at the team, he might now have to really spend time pondering over who to pick,
when deciding his starting eleven.
The manager made these comments, following his teams four goals to one win over the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 at that.
The manager went on to admit that he had seen something special in Macheda, watching him perform and with Owen still proving that he can bag goals for fun, it seems like this coming season is going to be rather interesting for United.
Apart from the duo, the team has the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mame-Biram-Diouf-c23302, who spent his season with Blackburn on loan, is also scheduled to return to the team before the start of the season.
The manager went on to address these issues and started off with Owen, as he went on to state: “He's a very good player. The problem for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 last year – and the same applies to the other strikers, and Berbatov, in particular – was that the form of Chicharito
was too good. You couldn't leave him out.”
He then went on to talk about Macheda and Diouf, as he added their returns would prove to be a head ache for him.
“It's a bit of a headache for me having Mame Diouf back and Macheda back. I'm going to be picking from six strikers, which isn't a bad thing, but, sometimes, it can be a confusing aspect of the team choice.”
“You saw Macheda's finish today. It was first class. He's got something special. At 19 years of age, we still have great hopes for him, and, of course, Chicharito with a season behind him in English football. We could be talking about anything there.”
From the looks of things, United’s offensive line-up is going to be stronger than it has ever been. Having six strikers in the squad is no joke, but if any team can manage to get the best out of each and every one of those six players, it’s United.
That being said, the performance last night just proved that United’s squad is looking to return to the Premier League, this coming season on top of their form and with all sights set on defending their Premier League trophy.
