Alex Ferguson still not sure about http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-Sneijder-c36799’s alleged move to Manchester United
Manchester United manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-c36794 Sneijder with a move to Manchester United.
Following http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-c29347 Scholes’s retirement as a professional footballer, United were left with a giant hole in their midfield, which needs to be filled before the start of the coming season. As a result, it was assumed that Sneijder would be the ideal player to
do that.
It has also been suggested that the player is now open to make a move to Old Trafford, mainly due to the fact that he has not yet gone on to commit his future to the Italian side.
Due to these recent developments, it was believed that Sneijder was finally close to making a move to United.
Nonetheless, following a match against Marseille, Ferguson took to the media as he denied these rumours and suggested they were nothing more than newspaper created links.
Talking to the press, Ferguson is quoted to have said: "I don't know anything because it is all newspapers. Newspapers talk this way, but we have not said anything."
It seems like the United manager is finally losing his cool over the media and their constant want to create mountain’s out of mole hills.
Scholes himself went on to admit that Sneijder was easily one of the best in the business and that whatever team he played for, would be given a major boost.
However, the midfielder also went on to defend the current talent at Old Trafford, as he suggested that the team was competent to take care of the midfield over the coming seasons. At the same time, the talent that was developing in the youth academy, was
quite spectacular and given the right coaching, they could replicate the success that Scholes had at the club.
Ferguson made his comments about Sneijder after a friendly game against Marseille, last night. The match was a charity game and featured a mixed bunch of players. The match ended with United losing to the French side by a score line of eight goals to two.
Ferguson, when reflecting on the match and its proceedings is quoted to have said: "Marseille in the second half were very good; they played well, some good goals. In the first half, we played well”
"Marseille were much more experienced, and more of a team. But I'm happy."
Apparently Ferguson doesn’t even take http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Charity-c38784 matches too lightly, but as long as he didn’t end up hurting anyone, it seems like no real harm was done last night.
