Alex Ferguson's claims no rift between him and Wayne Rooney
Manchester United's manager, Alex Ferguson has gone ahead and claimed that there has been no rift or argument of any sort between him or Wayne Rooney.
It was earlier reported that Rooney and Ferguson had gotten into a sort of a verbal war, with the striker claiming that the reason from him being left out in the past was not due to an ankle injury, since he isn't really suffering from one. The manager in
turn when asked about this statement from the player, responded by saying that it was nothing more that 'Water off a duck's back to him.' What the manager means there isn't very clear, nonetheless with Ferguson choosing to remain rather quiet on the situation
it is also safe to say that there is definetly something brewing in the shadows.
However, the manager tried his best to play down any media specualtion by saying: "I don't know where all these things come from. He is always in the spotlight and being discussed by the press. It is important how you handle it in my experience.
"But it just runs off me. It doesn't mean anything."
The manager is clearly trying his best to make the media think like there is nothing going on between the player and the manager, it would not be the first time that Ferguson played such a deceptive card. In the past the manager did almost the same thing
with David Beckham, who at that time just like Rooney was the Golden Boy at Manchester United. However after a series of arguments and a boot thrown towards Beckham's head, the player was on his way to Real Madrid.
Things seem to be heading in the exact same direction this time around as well. The player has been linked with Real Madrid already in the past and is currently being favored to leave England to opt to play in Spain, that along with the fact that the manager
and the player are having some sort of secretive mind games going on, it seems more than just likely that Rooney could possibly be on his way to Madrid.
The move might appear to be highly improbable at the moment, but when thought about Beckham leaving United felt almost exactly the same and everyone knows how that card played itself. It is now a matter of playing the wait game to see how things turn out
in the future between the player and the manager.
