There were a few concerned faces in the visitors’ dressing room after they lost five wickets for 54 runs, but Gidman played a captain’s innings and remained unbeaten on 76, leading his team to a victory.
Linley and Arafat took three wickets each in the final innings, but their effort went in vain at the end of the day.
