The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 forward feels that participating in the European club competition has affected La Paillade to a great extent and because of that Montpellier have struggled in Ligue 1 this season
The Rhone giants play host to the reigning French Champions this Saturday in a much anticipated match, with Lyon looking to continue their impressive run in the league. Les Gones are currently at the top of the table with 28 points after 14 games and Montpellier
would be hoping to avoid becoming their next victim when they travel to Stade de Gerland at the weekend.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Lacazette, who has 12 Ligue 1 appearances to his name this season, is of the view that Montpellier have lost the killing instinct, which made them the champions last season. However, the Frenchman is taking nothing for granted and is expecting a stern
test from the visitors.
While talking to reporters, the 21-year-old stated that La Paillade’s bad form in the Ligue 1 is down to their Champions League campaign. The forward added that Rene Girard’s side is participating for the first time in the competition and that has made life
difficult for them both in Europe and in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899.
"I think the Champions League has hurt them. When you are not used to playing in the league and in this competition at the same time, it's difficult."
However, Lacazette feels that the reigning French champions can still bounce back as there is a long way to go till the end of the season. Many teams in the Ligue 1 are capable of winning the Championelle and the forward feels that ruling out Montpellier’s
chances would be a mistake.
"Everything can move very quickly in terms of the results of one team and another.
Talking about Lyon’s chances of clinching the Ligue 1 crown this season, the 21-year-old stated that anything is possible for his side. Les Gones have performed really well this season and their consistency is the key to success. And Lacazette will do everything
is his hand to help his side achieve their target this season.
"I do not see one team above all the others. Anything is possible for OL."
