Alex McLeish hopes to see Gabriel Agbonlahor back in action against Tottenham Hotspur – EPL News
Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is confident that the Villans' talismanic striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gabriel-Agbonlahor-c14288, will be able to take part in the upcoming Premier League meeting against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Monday.
Agbonlahor has been a revelation at Aston Villa in the ongoing 2011/12 Barclays Premier League season. under Alex McLeish.
The English striker had a superb start to the campaign and has already been named Aston Villa Player of the Month twice for his impressive and consistent performance in front of goal.
Following Agbonlahor’s impressive displays on club level, he has been named in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749’s squad on a number of occasions this season.
Recently, the Villans’ striker was called up for England’s two friendly matches against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sweden-c3015. However, Agbonlahor did not feature in any of the international match as he was withdrawn from the squad after picking up a hamstring injury during
training.
McLeish has revealed that that the 25-year-old striker is undergoing a very quick recovery process for his slight strain.
The Villans’ manager told club’s official website:
“He has got a slight strain which guys like him, who are sprinters, the explosive guys, can pick up. Gabby went to England in good faith and unfortunately came back with this little nick on his hamstring but they did the ultra scan on him and were adamant.
It was the England medical guys who flagged it up for us.”
