Alex McLeish tips Manchester City to win the Barclays Premier League title – EPL News

The Scotsman told the reporters, "They've got to be contenders with the squad that they've got, there's absolutely no doubt about that.”
The former Birmingham boss was specifically impressed by the depth of City’s squad. The Etihad Stadium outfit was without a number of first team players but the Blues managed to cope up with the absence of their key members as they impressively earned three
points against Aston Villa.
"City have obviously changed and rotated their team a little bit today but they can bring in players for which they've paid £20-£30 million to replace those guys that are out.” He added.

McLeish hailed his side’s impressive start; however, the Scotsman has bemoaned the lack of cutting as he believes that his side should make full use of golden opportunities if they want to get results. The Scotsman has claimed that it was very hard to get

“We started well, Gabby [Agbonlahor] had a great chance and it was a great save by Joe Hart. After a nervy start they got their goal which settled them down and when you go a goal down at these type of clubs it can be very difficult," Alex McLeish concluded.
After experiencing first league defeat of the current 2011/12 Barclays Premier League season, Aston Villa are currently placed eighth in the league standings with 11 points from eight matches.
