Oxlade-Chamberlain revealed in an interview:
"Against Norway, he asked me to play just behind Andy Carroll. That is a new role for me - making runs behind, almost playing up front.”
While the Arsenal youngster was not too concerned with where he played, as long as he had a chance to represent his country, he preferred his position behind the Liverpool striker. This particular position allowed him to play off Carroll and proved to be
highly effective in Oslo.
This season has been extremely lucky for Oxlade-Chamberlain, with the winger going on to make his debut for Arsenal after a move from Southampton, as well as earning a call-up for the national team. He was extremely grateful to the Roy Hodgson.
He revealed:
“I think he’s a really good guy, a really good man. He gets on well with all the boys and has a little laugh, but when it comes to doing the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684, he’s been brilliant tactically.”

According to Oxlade-Chamberlain, Hodgson allowed the players to express themselves, which is what made him the best manager for England. He had learned a lot just by working under Roy Hodgson and hoped to continue to do so in the future.
Oxlade-Chamberlain said:
“I believe we've learned some real lessons. He has put his points to us, we're taking them in and putting them into the training sessions.

There is a lot of enthusiasm around the camp. Everybody is trying to impress the new manager. It feels like there is competition for places and we all want to impress him.”
Prior to call-up for the senior England national team, Oxlade-Chamberlain made eight appearances for the England under-21 squad and went on to score four goals for them.
