Alex Spence joins Scotland as they play Wales this week
Alex Spence the back rower will make a start for his national team for the first time against Wales, after substituting for Heriot three times.
Alex Spence just recovered from injury on time and is highly demanded according to Peter Wright the coach. Talking about the former Haddington the coach said, “Alex was out for almost a season with quite a bad injury and is now coming back. He is a really
physical guy who we call the warrior because he gets up and gets on with it. He just wants to go and go and go. He has a lot of potential.”
After losing to France last week, Scotland has made a few more changes to it's squad. Harry Leonard the Boroughmuir's centre has been ripped off his original position and is assigned on benches, while Glen Byrce will playing his first game this season in
the starting line-up.
Scotland had a not so successful decade and will be looking forward to change the perception this time. Other than the forwards, the Scottish backline have proved to be very strong recently and addition of players like Alex Spence will not only give backline
confidence but will add a flavour to Scottish game play.
Last time Scotland played Wales, it was a harsh defeat. Welsh forwards took over the Scottish defense in November causing maximum damage and uproar in Scotland's fans present there.
